i. Check the word you’re learning to spell.
ii. Look at each letter separately.
iii. Notice any spelling rules. e.g. ‘i before e except after c’
iv. Remember any sound blends e.g. th, er, ar, est, ph, etc.
v. Take a visual photo of the word in your mind.
ii. NOW… Trace over the outline of the word to strengthen the visual picture of the word.
